In this episode of the Wisconsin Music Podcast, 'Amplifying Wisconsin Music,' we welcome Jesús Villa and his acoustic trio, Front Porch Rockers. Jesús, who immigrated from Mexico at age five and grew up in southeastern Wisconsin, brings a rich musical background to his performances. Starting guitar at age 10 and writing music by high school, he has made a name for himself in the Milwaukee area.
Jesús has composed several musical theater productions and co-founded the Kangaroo Lake Songwriters Collective in 2017. In August 2020, he released his first solo EP, The Lone Pine Sessions, showcasing his folk rock sound that blends contemporary relevance with a retro feel. Join us as we delve into Jesús's musical journey, his influences, and the story behind the Front Porch Rockers.
